It can be judged from the following aspects whether the toothed roller of the double-toothed roller crusher needs to be replaced.
If it is found that the discharge particle size is significantly larger and exceeds the normal range, it means that the wear of the toothed roller has been more serious, and the crushing capacity of the material has decreased. For example, ore that should have been crushed to a certain size now has a lot of bulky material, which may be due to the wear of the toothed rollers and the inability to crush effectively.
Uneven discharge particle size can also be a sign of toothed roller wear. Under normal circumstances, the double-toothed roller crusher should be able to produce a relatively uniform material particle size, if there are particles with large size differences in the discharge, it means that the crushing effect of the toothed roller is no longer uniform and may need to be replaced.
When the processing capacity of the double-toothed roller crusher is significantly reduced, the wear of the toothed rollers should be considered. For example, if the output of the equipment gradually decreases under the same feed conditions, it may be that the toothed rollers cannot crush the material efficiently after wear, resulting in a decrease in production efficiency. If the output is reduced significantly, e.g. from a certain tonnage per hour to a significantly lower than normal level, the toothed rollers may need to be replaced.
Carefully observe the tooth shape of the tooth roller, if the tooth tip is seriously worn, or even the tooth tip is dull and broken, it means that the tooth roller needs to be replaced. For example, a tooth tip that was originally sharp becomes rounded, or part of the tooth tip is missing, which can greatly reduce the crushing effect of the tooth roller.
Check the wear of the tooth surface of the tooth roller, if there are obvious scratches, pits and other wear marks on the tooth surface, and the wear depth is large, the tooth roller should also be replaced. For example, deep pits on the tooth surface can be clearly seen with the naked eye, which affects the ability of the tooth roller to grip and crush the material.
Observe whether the wear of the toothed rollers is uniform. If some parts of the toothed roller are particularly worn, while others are relatively good, it means that there may be an imbalance or abnormal force during the operation of the equipment. This uneven wear and tear may lead to increased vibration and poor crushing results, and it is necessary to check and consider replacing the toothed rollers in a timely manner. For example, the edges of the toothed rollers on one side are heavily worn, while the middle part is relatively good, which can be caused by uneven feeding or improper installation of equipment.
During normal operation, the motor current of the double-toothed roll crusher should fluctuate within a certain range. If it is found that the motor current is gradually increasing, and factors such as electrical system failures and changes in feed volume are ruled out, it may be that the gear roller wear is causing the equipment load to increase. For example, if the motor current rises from a certain normal value to a high level and continues to stabilize at this high value, it means that the crushing resistance of the toothed roller to the material has increased and may need to be replaced.
When the motor current fluctuates greatly, and the vibration of the equipment increases, it may also be a manifestation of serious wear of the toothed roller. This is because the worn toothed rollers cannot crush the material stably, resulting in unstable operation of the equipment and fluctuating motor current.
Detect the vibration of the equipment with a vibration monitoring instrument. If the vibration of the equipment increases significantly beyond the normal range, it may be an imbalance or loosening caused by the wear of the toothed rollers. For example, if a vibration monitoring instrument shows that the vibration amplitude of the equipment exceeds a set safe value, which can adversely affect the overall stability and service life of the equipment, the toothed rollers should be inspected and replaced.
In short, by observing the crushing effect, checking the appearance of the toothed roller and monitoring the operating parameters of the equipment, it can be comprehensively judged whether the toothed roller of the double-toothed roller crusher needs to be replaced. In actual operation, the equipment should be inspected and maintained regularly, and problems should be found in time and corresponding measures should be taken to ensure the normal operation and production efficiency of the equipment.
